Family and food - that's what it is all about

Ate with everyone at Mama Mia's and had a good time. Dinner was great with the whole family but this was the best part, and I don't think anyone will disagree. Darien is 9 months and Mackenzie just turned 3. She wants to visit the princesses (all of them - it's her life!)

Good Texas food

While in Texas Tim and I stopped in at a Cajun restaurant and here he is seen eating "gator". It wasn't bad. Reminded me of fried clams.
Jamison and Tim insisted on a good Texas steak so we did enjoy a nice visit to Texas Land & Cattle. Good choice and lots of fun.
Jamison kept us busy our last day there and we saw alot of sights. The new stadiums are huge and there was so much else to see. Leaving however, was a nightmare, even though we left on Sunday. We had to drive through Dallas and although Jamison told us everybody is in church on Sunday, it wasn't true. Only some of the people were in church. Getting through downtown Dallas took all the patients and tolerance we could muster - with strangers and ourselves, but we did it.

Made it to Arlington

This park is smack dab in the middle of city life. But in here, it is quiet. This is a pix of the park yesterday, at Las Cruces. One is with "night scene" and the other is "landscape" Go figure. No pix yet today. I think we've traveled just short of 900 miles so far. Love and prayers, mummy

More friends

Holly and Nick are our neighbors right across the street from us. They are full timers here (and the youngest I think!)

Tim and Scott (not a couple, just a couple of crazies). Scott is a good friend to everyone and the nicest guy (he's single ladies).
John and Jane are so much fun! Their dogs are Zoe's best friends. They were blessed with twin grandchildren this December and have been able to spend a ton of time with them. Jane is babysitting as I write! Soon, its home to Indy for them so time with the babies is special.

Good friends and "until fall" goodbyes

Sue and Bill are amazing. They hike, ride bikes, always happy and always moving.

Paige was pouting because I wouldn't wait until Thursday to leave (1 more knitting day). I told her she'd be sorry. Dave is getting a kick out of it though!

We're off - heading to Wisconsin

Hello kids and friends! We left (sadly) Monday a.m. and were actually gone by 10:15 a.m., with tons of help from the "hangers on" and lots of hugs. We made it to Las Cruces NM and will head to Arlington TX but will probably only go 1/2 that distance 'cause its like really far.

Zoe's traveling nervously, as expected but I think it will be soon before she settles in.

Again, pictures are giving me a hard time. I'll work on it.

Dad and Zoe went camping at Roosevelt Dam - to the east of us about 60 miles. He traveled a mountainous road that left blacktop behind and drove into beautiful desert landscapes and visited some ruins. he met up with several friends so he wasn't completely alone. Mom enjoyed peace and quiet at home. Zoe was a big hit with everyone and since she went everywhere with Tim, she was exhausted. She hiked up to the ruins but wasn't allowed past a certain point, "no pissing and shitting dogs allowed" near ruins. The guy in the pix held onto Zoe so Tim could explore. The lake created by the Dam is beautiful and huge. Enjoy the pix.
