Pictures

I have had the darnest time getting these two pix to come up. Had to do it seperately. The snow is in Flagstaff a few weeks ago with Jackie. The angry skies just amaze me. I'm not even sure where I took this one. Enjoy - Mummy

What do Retired People do all day?

A good retired friend shared this with me. It's the best! I wish I had thought of it.

The question is:What Do Retired People Do All Day? Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting. Well, for example, the other day my wife and I went into town and went into a shop. We were only in there for about 5 minutes. When we came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket. We went up to him and said, 'Come on man, how about giving a senior citizen a break?' He ignored us and continued writing the ticket. I called him a Nazi turd. He glared at me and started writing another ticket for having worn tires. So my wife called him a shit-head. He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he started writing a third ticket. This went on for about 20 minutes. The more we abused him, the more tickets he wrote. Personally, we didn't care. We came into town by bus. We try to have a little fun each day now that we're retired. It's important at our age.

Lunch with a Janesville friend

Tim and I had lunch with Bill D from Janesville Saturday. We met in Eloy, a few miles south of Casa Grande. We had a good time catching up. On the way home we stopped to visit the Casa Grande ruins. On the interent, it doesn't look too interesting but once there it was very interesting. We saw the movie, took the tour and came away smarter for it.

Sorry - no pix, mummy forgot camera!

The last thing we did with Jackie was visit Flagstaff and Winslow. We caught a storm. Hopefully, you'll see the pix I up up. We truly enjoyed Jackie's visit and look forward to Tracy and Tina's arrival. They only plan to stay a few days, but that's all I need for another family fix.

Love and prayers, mummy

A fair

The Renaissance fair is in town. They are the same people that hold fairs in summer up north. I should have figured! Anyhow, it was a ton of walking so a power chair is a must! Lots of food, people watching, jewelery, metal and leather work and even a spinning/weaving booth. I'm glad we went. The pix show a bit of our day.

Mummy got to hold a goose at the fair. I swear, holding fowl is the most relaxing thing!

The fair here has permanent buildings, I think close to 150 of them. And there was a walking tree!!!!

This pix is supposed to be first, Ugh. It is just the tickets etc.
If you have the chance back home, go to one of these. Take a ton of cash and an appetite. They have chocolatieres too, not just all meat.

Zoe climbs Silly Mountain

Pictures are willy nilly again but oh well. This first one is where Mom departed. The ditch in front of Jackie doesn't look deep on the pix but it was! Zoe made it - she made it all way up!

This pix is the successful climbers at the top. What a view. We live out there somewhere. Probably behind Dad's head.

This is the beginning of the trail. See me? I'm the shadow.

Isn't this amazing? I'm impressed.
Love, mummy and daddy.

Diane's new "do"

Jackie heard about a restaurant that serves snake. The night she got here, we went there. It is a really fun place (Rustlers Rooste). they ate it, I didn't. I couldn't even watch! They did get "I Ate the Snake" t-shirts though.
I'm so mad at myself. I uploaded all the pix and then cleared the disc. I forgot to print some first. Stupid, stupid, stupid. (What movie is that from) I can still do it but I have to hook the new photosmart up to the computer.

Jackie's visiting

Hurray! Jackie arrived on the evening of the 4th and I didn't recognize her in the airport. Shame on me! Yesterday we drove her out to the dessert/mountain range. That is east on 88 toward Roosevelt Dam We didn't make it all the way but the last 20 miles was on gravel and it was miserable for me. It was late too so Tim agreed to turn back.
The pix of course came up end to beginning but you get the drift.
Oh, I got a haircut. I'm not pictured though.

Today, I think we are going to hit Mesa Marketplace, it is like the fair but without animals or rides. The rows of vendors are 1/4 long and there are 4 rows. Hopefully Tim and Jack will have time to go up Silly Mountain, an easy dessert hike.

Enjoy the pix. Love you all. Mummy and Daddy
